But now you should not worry as you can save and back up your browser bookmarks on your computer hard drive itself. It just takes small space may be in few MB's if saved in HTML format.

How to Back up your Internet Browser's bookmarked favourites on your computer harddisk. I will be explaining the procedure for mozilla firefox, but it would be the same for all other browsers which support this feature.

How to back up Mozilla Firefox Bookmarked Favourites on your computer hard disk ??

1. Click the Bookmarks tab in the taskbar of your browser, a dropdown menu will appear; Click organize bookmark in that menu as shown in the screenshot below. Shortcut : Press Ctrl+Shift+B

2. Now you will see a new popup window; in this window (shown in the screenshot below):
i. Click "All Bookmarks" in the sidebar.
ii. Click the "Import and Export" Tab in the upper taskbar.

3. Now you will see a dropdown menu; from this menu click the "Export HTML" option as shown in the screenshot below.

4. Save this HTML file on your hard drive and Import it by the same process whenever you loose them from your mozilla firefox or from any other browser which support this feature.

Browsers which support this features and which don't :

Mozilla Firefox, Netscape Navigator, Opera and Flock bowsers support this bookmark back up feature.

Apple's Safari doesnot support bookmark back up feature. As you know some browsers Microsoft's Internet Explorer (the most widely used, the most slowest browser, the most featureless and the list goes on) this time also stands off the crowd and chooses not to provide bookmark back up feature too.
